Frequently asked questions
How does the Wordle word finder work?
It filters a list of valid 5-letter Wordle answers against the clues you enter: letters fixed in position (green), letters that appear somewhere in the word but not where you tried them (yellow), and letters ruled out (grey). Only words that satisfy every constraint are shown.
Can I filter by known letter positions?
Yes. Type each green letter into its numbered box so it is locked to that position, add the yellow letters you know are in the word, and list the grey letters to exclude. The finder returns only 5-letter words that match all of them.
Is this the official NYT Wordle solver?
